Coach Carol
Chess coach, Houston Holy Cross Sports Club
- 🇺🇸 Houston, Texas, United States
- Houston Holy Cross Sports Club
- 2015 to 2025
- English
I coached chess at Houston Holy Cross Sports Club from 2015 to 2025. Most of my players were between 12 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I fix old bicycles.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Coach Carol
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Coach Carol: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
