Coach Camila
Cross country coach, Sakura Football Club
- 🇺🇸 Lafayette, Louisiana, United States
- Sakura Football Club
- 1997 to 2009
- English, Spanish
I coached cross country at Sakura Football Club from 1997 to 2009. Most of my players were between 9 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never turned anyone away.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Coach Camila
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
