Coach Bernd
Chess and fitness coach, Augsburg
- 🇩🇪 Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany
- Gateway Swimming Club
- Since 1991
- English, Spanish
I've coached chess at Gateway Swimming Club since 1991. Most of my players were between 10 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
Sports or skills coached
What gifts mean to Coach Bernd: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
