I coached cricket at Peoria Athletic Club from 2018 to 2025. Most of my players were between 12 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I sing in a choir.
More about Coach Beatriz
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Coach Beatriz: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
