Coach Axel
Youth boxing coach and mentor
- 🇺🇸 Oakland, California, United States
- Redwood Sports Club
- Since 1996
- English
I've coached boxing at Redwood Sports Club since 1996. Most of my players were between 11 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Coach Axel
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
