Coach Axel
Youth rugby coach and mentor
- 🇬🇧 London, England, United Kingdom
- London Sports Club
- 1982 to 2000
- English
For 18 years I ran the rugby program at London Sports Club in London. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. My door was open at lunch.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Coach Axel
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Axel: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
