Coach Asad
Coached baseball for 39 years in Faisalabad
- 🇵🇰 Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan
- Jacaranda Boxing Gym
- Since 1987
- English, Punjabi
I've coached baseball at Jacaranda Boxing Gym since 1987. Most of my players were between 9 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
What gifts mean to Coach Asad: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

I still think about that terrible school play. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Tarkwa.

You coached me in 1999. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Kikuyu.
