Coach Arnel
Chess and fitness coach, Manila
- 🇵🇭 Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines
- Since 1997
- English, Filipino, Spanish
For 29 years I've run the chess program at Manila Community Club in Manila. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Arnel: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.

You coached me in 2011. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Mangaluru.
