Coach Anika
Youth badminton coach and mentor
- 🇮🇳 Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India
- Summit Athletic Club
- 1981 to 2014
- English
I'm a badminton coach. I never went pro, but I got to see 1,350 kids fall in love with the game.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Coach Anika
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Anika: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
