I've coached chess at Durban Mount Pleasant Sports Club since 1996. Most of my players were between 8 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.

If you played for me, you probably remember the quiz night we nearly won.
