Coach Ananya
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇮🇳 Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India
- Lucknow Elmwood Boxing Gym
- Since 2005
- English
For 21 years I've run the chess program at Lucknow Elmwood Boxing Gym in Lucknow. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I play music while people worked.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

If you played for me, you probably remember the last day before the summer holidays.

What gifts mean to Coach Ananya: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
