Coach Álvaro
Coached volleyball for 41 years in Zapopan
- 🇲🇽 Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico
- Ashford Swimming Club
- Since 1985
- Spanish, French
I've coached volleyball at Ashford Swimming Club since 1985. Most of my players were between 11 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never raise my voice.
More about Coach Álvaro
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Coach Álvaro: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
