Coach Ali
Rowing coach, Rawalpindi Eastgate Youth Club
- 🇵🇰 Rawalpindi, Punjab, Pakistan
- Since 1994
- English, French
I'm a rowing coach. I never went pro, but I get to see 1,150 kids fall in love with the game.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Coach Ali
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Ali: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
