Coach Akinyi

Youth athletics coach and mentor

  • 🇹🇿 Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
  • Kinondoni Sports Club
  • 1987 to 2010
  • English, Swahili, French
I coached athletics at Kinondoni Sports Club from 1987 to 2010. Most of my players were between 12 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
