For 16 years I've run the cycling program at Eldoret Football Club in Eldoret. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
More about Coach Akello
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Coach Akello: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
