I coached martial arts at Kadıköy Ashford Football Club from 1985 to 2005. Most of my players were between 11 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Coach Ahmet: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
