I coached rugby at Maple Ridge Football Club from 1998 to 2008. Most of my players were between 11 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never turned anyone away.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Coach Adrián
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Coach Adrián: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
