I'm a athletics coach. I never went pro, but I got to see 1,410 kids fall in love with the game.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answered every email, even at midnight.
More about Coach Aaliyah
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Aaliyah: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
