Clinton Mabaso

Traditional drumming player and teacher in Stellenbosch

  • 🇿🇦 Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa
  • Stellenbosch Choir
  • Since 1980
  • English, Afrikaans
I play traditional drumming and bass. I started in 1980 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness. I teach about 20 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I bake for the whole street at New Year.

More about Clinton

I write my first song when I was 19. It was terrible and I still love it.
