I've been a nurse for ten years, most of them in mental health at Dublin Maternity Hospital in Dublin. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I run most mornings.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Ciara
I still get cards from families years later. They're pinned to my fridge.

What gifts mean to Ciara: A gift would go toward blankets and small comforts for patients without family.
