Chukwuemeka Chukwu
35 years teaching design and technology in Badagry
- 🇳🇬 Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria
- Phoenix Academy
- 1981 to 2005
- English, Igbo, French
For 24 years I was the design and technology teacher at Phoenix Academy. I taught first-year students and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I coached the school's football team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Chukwuemeka
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

You taught me design and technology in 1992 at Phoenix Academy. I still remember the cold winter when we all kept our coats on.
