Chirag B. Vyas
Master of plumbing, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇳 New Delhi, Delhi, India
- The Oakwood Workshop
- Since 1991
- English
I've worked in plumbing since 1991. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 1,330 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I'm usually the first one in and the last to leave.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Chirag
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Chirag: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
