Chioma Yetunde Idowu
Bass player and teacher in Ibadan
- 🇳🇬 Ibadan, Oyo, Nigeria
- Hope Choir
- Since 1989
- English
I play bass and songwriting. I started in 1989 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 14 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I garden badly but happily.
More about Chioma
I write my first song when I was 22. It was terrible and I still love it.

What gifts mean to Chioma: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
