Chioma Khadija Nwankwo
Masonry, done properly
- 🇳🇬 Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria
- The Baobab Trades Guild
- 2007 to 2021
- English
I've worked in masonry from 2007 to 2021. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 450 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I sing in a choir.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Chioma
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Chioma: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
