Chioma Chioma Zakari
Folk music and accordion teacher
- 🇳🇬 Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
- Lagos Frangipani Orchestra
- 1991 to 2017
- English, Igbo
I've played folk music from 1991 to 2017, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
I teach about 14 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Chioma
I wrote my first song when I was 18. It was terrible and I still love it.
