My subject is sociology, and for 13 years I get to share it with undergraduates at Shinjuku Polytechnic.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Chihiro
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
