Chidi Bello
Ceramics and printmaking artist
- 🇳🇬 Zaria, Kaduna, Nigeria
- Old Hillcrest Art Collective
- Since 1992
- English, Yoruba
I work mostly in ceramics, sometimes printmaking. My first show was in 1992 at Old Hillcrest Art Collective, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I also teach a weekly class at Old Hillcrest Art Collective, which keeps me honest.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.

I bought one of your pieces in 1997. It's still the first thing I see in the morning
