I've worked in upholstery since 2004. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 1,100 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I carry a notebook everywhere.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Chiamaka
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Chiamaka: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
