I've spent 45 years as a lecturer in computer science at St. Joseph's Polytechnic in Pietermaritzburg. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a bank clerk and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
More about Charlene
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Charlene: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
