Chantel J. Coetzee
Woodcarving and ceramics artist
- 🇿🇦 Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa
- The Soweto Print Workshop
- Since 1996
- English, French
I work mostly in woodcarving, sometimes ceramics. My first show was in 1996 at The Soweto Print Workshop, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I also teach a weekly class at The Soweto Print Workshop, which keeps me honest.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
