Coached swimming for 39 years in Pretoria
- 🇿🇦 Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa

For 39 years I've run the swimming program at Gateway Swimming Club in Pretoria. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
I'm still learning every day.

If you played for me, you probably remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.
