Chamari Lakshmi Fernando

Saxophone player and teacher in Kandy

  • 🇱🇰 Kandy, Central, Sri Lanka
  • Kandy Band
  • Since 1988
  • English, French
I play saxophone and singing. I started in 1988 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness. My favorite gigs are the small ones where somebody cries a little in the third row. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

More about Chamari

I write my first song when I was 21. It was terrible and I still love it.

What gifts mean to Chamari: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
