Ceren Songül Başaran
Teacher at Istanbul Grammar School, loves religious studies

For 23 years I have been the religious studies teacher at Istanbul Grammar School. I teach Year 7 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Ceren
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
