I coached softball at Istanbul Lincoln Football Club from 1986 to 2024. Most of my players were between 11 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.
More about Cem
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
