Cem Tolga Taş
Master of blacksmithing, now teaching apprentices
- 🇩🇪 Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany
- The Ashford Shop
- Since 1990
- German
I've worked in blacksmithing since 1990. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 1,080 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 19 years later for another job.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Cem: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
