I've worked in baking from 1982 to 2017. I learned from my uncle and passed what I could on to 1,680 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I try to remember everyone's name.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Caroline
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Caroline: Any gift will help me keep the workshop open for evening lessons.
