For 41 years I have been the geography teacher at Crescent Secondary School. I teach the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 1,680 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Carolina
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Carolina: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
