I've been a nurse for 46 years, most of them in pediatrics at Albuquerque University Hospital in Albuquerque. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
