I'm a chess coach. I never went pro, but I get to see 260 kids fall in love with the game.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Carol
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Carol: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
