I've coached cricket at Sacramento Athletic Club since 1979. Most of my players were between 11 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. My door was open at lunch.
More about Carol
If you played for me, you probably remember the snow day nobody expected.
What gifts mean to Carol: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
