I taught French and history at San Jose Public School, San Jose. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
I ran the chess club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
More about Carmen
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Carmen: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
