I coached softball at Iloilo City Sports Club from 2002 to 2022. Most of my players were between 12 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
