Carmela A. Torres
Helping people break into first-generation students
- 🇵🇭 Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines
- Parkside Learning Hub
- 2015 to 2025
- English, Filipino
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 270 people through Parkside Learning Hub.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.

If I mentored you, I hope you're still pushing yourself.

What gifts mean to Carmela: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
