I've been a nurse for 19 years, most of them in elder care at Corpus Christi Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
