I taught history at Çankaya Secondary School in Çankaya from 1989 to 2017. Most days I taught the youngest children, and I learned every name in the first week.
Over the years I had 1,010 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Cansu
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
