Cansu Kaplan
Folk music player and teacher in Istanbul
- 🇹🇷 Istanbul, Istanbul, Türkiye
- Istanbul Music School
- 1984 to 2003
- English
I play folk music and brass band. I started in 1984 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 15 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I run most mornings.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Cansu
I wrote my first song when I was 13. It was terrible and I still love it.
