Candra Heru Lestari
Self-taught sculpture artist
- 🇮🇩 Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia
- Jakarta Gallery
- Since 1994
- English
I work mostly in sculpture, sometimes street art. My first show was in 1994 at Jakarta Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by the changing seasons. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
More about Candra
If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
What gifts mean to Candra: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
