I teach social studies at Istanbul Academy in Istanbul since 1982. Most days I teach Grade 8, and I never raise my voice.
I've run the chess club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Can: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
