Camila B. Ortiz
Economics teacher at Rockford Girls' School, 1987 to 2025
- 🇺🇸 Rockford, Illinois, United States
- Rockford Girls' School
- 1987 to 2025
- English, Spanish
I came to teaching late, after working as a shop assistant, and 38 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I coached the school's netball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

I was in your Year 10 class in 1989. You believed I could do it before I did. Greetings from Calamba.

You taught me economics in 2021 at Rockford Girls' School. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.
