Caio Mateus Souza
Coached volleyball for 45 years in Belo Horizonte
- 🇧🇷 Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil
- Since 1981
- Portuguese, French
For 45 years I've run the volleyball program at Belo Horizonte Riverside Swimming Club in Belo Horizonte. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Caio
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

What gifts mean to Caio: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

I still think about the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Kanpur.
